What is the Palm SIG?
The Undergraduate
Projects Laboratory Palm SIG is devoted to developing
applications, conduits, desktop software, hardware, accessories, and anything
else related to PalmOS and other handheld computers. The group exists to
share knowledge and collaborate on projects. Check the Projects Page
for some of the past, present and future endeavors.
How can I join?
If you are interested in learning about PalmOS/handheld development, you can do several things. We have a
mailing list for announcements and discussion. Send
email to 'will' or 'garret' at upl.cs.wisc.edu to join the list. Also, the Palm SIG has bi-weekly
meetings. The best way to get involved is to just start coming to the meetings!
When are the meetings?
The Palm SIG meets every other Wednesday night at 6:00. Check our schedule
for details. If a meeting is cancelled or moved you will find out via the mailing list. We usually
have a project to work on and some goals for each meeting, but feel free to
bring in your own ideas for projects.
Whats in this web site?
You are on the Home page right now. The site is divided into a few
main sections:
- List has info
on how to get on the upl-palm mailing list and list archives.
- News gets updated semi-regularily to let
you know of any changes in meetings, special events, and any other items that might be of interest
to the SIG.
- Projects lists and briefly describes
various projects. Some are complete, some are actively being worked on, and others are just ideas
waiting for someone to work on them.
- Resources has links to technical
information and other generally useful stuff residing both on and off this site.
