media list

Media List is an excersize in PHP and MySQL development. Currently, it allows several users to list the media that they own and want, including movies, tv series, books, and games. The purpose is to facilitate sharing. Fetures include sorting, filters, and scraping information from IMDB and AniDB.

hikari

Hikari is a software program that utilizes the serial remote interface to control the Hercules planetarium theater system from manufactured by East Coast Control. Generally, it is used to control the LED cove lights attached to the system, but it can also be used to control other devices such as slide projectors. Current functionality includes an advanced fader control and real-time visualizations to music and sound played on the computer (captured via DirectX).

seti + slax

In 2005, combined SETI@Home and SLAX, a Slackware Live CD. This was loaded onto several old computers to contrubute processing power to the SETI project. As of March 2008, they are still chugging along in the back of the Wausau West Planetarium.

campus wars

Campus Wars is an in development UPL project utilizing Google Maps API, PHP, and MySQL.

winamp avs presets

Back in 2004, I made a couple AVS presets. AVS is software to create real-time video visualizations for music played in Winamp.

very simple quake III maps

Quake III is a popular FPS video game. I created a couple very simple maps.

insitu and google earth

This project will let students of UW-Madison Art History to view artwork covered in class on a 3D map of the earth. Artwork is pulled from the InSitu Database and can be viewed in Google Earth.
