Non-Euclidian asteroids

A friend of mine (Tony Magro) wrote this neat asteroids clone. It started out just like the original (2D), but then he made your ship and all the asteroids 3D (but still stuck in a plane like before). Then he changed it to a first person perspective and made it so you can look and fly in any direction. Now, it's really nothing like asteroids, but it's still really cool.

The following is what makes it really cool. Like the original asteroids, you are trapped in a box (a cube in the 3D case). When you or the asteroids reach the edge, they wrap around. This presents a problem if you have a first person perspective. When you are about to wrap around, all the asteroids are behind you, so you don't see them. Then when you wrap around, they all suddenly appear in front of you, which looks wierd. Here is the solution: your vision should wrap around as well!.

The ever clever Tony easily hacked this into the game and here is the result. In these screenshots, I have set your vision to extend very far. The game is not actually playable set up this way. The world you are in in these examples is very small, and there are only five asteroids. Your view is wrapping around many times.
