WARNING: This page hasnt been updated in a bajillion years. I am not this much of a dork anymore. Really. I am shamed by this page. Go look at something more wholesome!
My freshman year was spent at U of M Twin Cities majoring in Environmental Sciences. It's a nice school. Really. And I had lots of cool friends. (shut up! I did too.) But, the city was a bit too a) Conservative and b) difficult to get around without a car. Plus, I'm a wuss when it comes to large scruffy people approaching you at 1am on campus and demanding money.
Actually, my first college experience was in high school when I took a class at the UW Madison. So, I'm back here now, and life is easier; and for some strange reason I dont feel so bad about beating the stuffing out of anyone who begs for or demands money in this place. It's a warm, caring place. Honest. With lots of friends. (shut up! I do too.)
Hey! Who woulda thought I'd ever graduate. I've got a BS in Wildlife Ecology and a certificate in Environmental Studies. Now that that's asside, I'm applying for graduate school. I'm hoping to get an MS in Zoology, specifically in Ethology, preferably studying birds. My interest in these areas were pushed along nicely by some really great professors during my undergrad career. Here's some links to a few of my favorites..
My great redemption is that I've done (and continue to do) some really great work with an extremely awesome PhD candidate named Ethan Clotfelter; whose research on cowbird paracitism and Red-winged Blackbirds is a lot of fun to assist. I now know more than most singular people should about Red-winged Blackbird behavior. Plus, I get smacked in the head occasionally by angry male redwings. A great job perk if you ask me.
