VAG-COM Hardware

This project allows me to talk to my VW Cabrio's on board computer. You can query it for all sorts of interesting data.

Front of board. I did minor changes to the design, the most flashy of which is replacing the diodes for the LEDs. Back of board. I didn't have a ODB-II connector, so I just soldered some wirewrap stakes at the appropriate spots (see the lower right of the picture). The entire board becomes the connector.

Jeff Noxon's OpenDiag project This the the hardware design I used, with minor modifications.

Ross-Tech's Software I'm currently using the freeware version of this software.
