Yonnic, The Word of the Day
Yonnic (spelled wrong, I'm certain) is the antonym of phallic. Which has no
bearing to anything in the previous text (I think).
Actually, in a fit of universal oddness, a friend from middle school (yes
that was in the neighborhood of 12 or 13 years ago) whom I hadn't spoken
to since middle school stumbled across my web page and pointed
out my error in the definition... the world just got smaller.
"The antonym of "yonnic" would more properly be "lingamic", in keeping
with its linguistic origin. "phallus" is a Greek-derived word, while
"yoni" and "lingam" come from a far more ancient Hindu tradition...
You really begin to wonder what the point was of all those references to
the "Shiva-lingam"...
...and it's also not quite right to say they're antonyms,
either, since in most any mystical tradition, like that from which
the discussion of yoni and lingam springs, it is acknowledged that
things which appear to be opposites are merely different aspects
of the same whole. "Something" is NOT the opposite of "nothing"!"

btw, the title of this page does have some amusing significance with
what was said on this page.
