Talents can not be learned or taught; they can only be improved through experience. This costs as many XP as the level to be attained, and only one level's improvement may be made at a time.

Skills can be taught, but not learned independently: teacher's score/student's score = points gained (up to 3). This still costs XP, but at the rate appropriate for the number of levels gained, rather than the levels gained. I.e., a warrior with 12 Attack(longsword) teaches one with 3 Attack(longsword). He could gain up to 3 points at a cost of 6 XP, but since he has only 4 XP, his new score is 5 Attack(longsword), which costs him 3 XP. Skills may also be improved through experience, by the expenditure of XP at the same rate as for Talents.

Knowledges can be learned or taught, as per the rules: teaching source/current level = points gained (up to 5). This costs no XP. They may also be improved by experience, with the usual expenditure of XP.

Talents

Psionic Talents

Focus
This is one of the primary skills for a psionic. Focus is used to maintain the internal locus of energy that is required by psionic skills. It is similar to both meditation and concentration, but involves a much deeper, subconcious control.

Skills

Racial Skills

Weapon Skills

Specialize(specific weapon)
The person with this skill gains two benefits: first, he can use his weapon with lessened penalties in any penalty situation (off-handed use, cramped quarters, darkness, etc.). [subtract this skill from all such penalties.] Secondly, he can add half this score to both his parry and attack skills with the weapon of specialization.
Style School(specific school)
Style Schools are opened, generally, by older warriors who wish to earn their living in a less dangerous manner. They do so by teaching, for a fee, whatever unique techniques they've developed. These are generally very specific, and often apply best when countering another particular style [nearly any modifier is possible, though it will generally only apply in one very specific circumstance, such as when fighting someone using a particular style, or when you have the higher ground, or in unstable terrain.]
